Pet Contest Photos

Hello! Thank you to everyone who sent us photos of your pets. The winner of the contest is Luna, Willy Sickel's dog who loves taking motorcycle rides in the summer!

Although there was only one winner, all of these pets deserve to be in the spotlight! We wanted to share these awesome photos with you all.

This is Donovan Ramsey's dog Ranger. Hopefully he knows not to eat the yellow snow!

This good girl is Azul. Azul belongs to Taylor Hutchinson. Azul is ½ Husky, 3/8 Akita, and 1/8 Malamute. Azul is 6 years old. She was a street dog in Kosovo before ending up at the Max Fund Animal Shelter in Denver in 2017. Azul overcame Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia in 2021. In the last year, Azul has seen the Grand Canyon, the Atlantic Ocean, the Pacific Ocean, Death Valley National Park, and gone on numerous overnight rafting trips.

These are Becky McDill's dogs Bella and Roo at Green Mountain. Any chance to run is a good day!

This is Cameron Young's dog Rezz. She is also known as the princess Pali.

This is Chuck Gilmore's princess puppy Cricket. She just turned 1 on April 9th. She's a chihuahua basenji mix. Cricket and Chuck are very excited for the snow to melt so they can explore the Basin's hiking trails.

This is Bill LeClair's English Chocolate Labrador Retriever Drifter. He loves snow and is a true believer that there are no friends on a powder day!

These two Steamboat snails belong to Ashton Rebitski. On the left is Mossy Oak Mudslinger and on the right is Little Yellow Jacket. They (seem) to like tagging along on all of her road trips and cucumbers are their favorite food.

This is Pika, Katherine Fuller's 12-year-old German Shepherd mountain mutt atop A-Basin in her A-Basin collar. This photo was taken by Katherine's husband in late October. They hiked up from the Lenawee summer trail shortly after we opened.

Here is Stich Grayson Haldane's dog. He is a 3 year old rescue. Grayson is unsure of his breed but believes he’s an English pointer mix. Stitch’s favorite activities are playing fetch and getting treats. He’s often referred to as a mini cow due to his black and white spots.

Here is Trixie Bryan Brunvand, she is a strong independent kitty who won't take any criticism from anyone. She was adopted at the summit county animal shelter after waiting a year for someone to get her. Fun fact about her. She knows how to sit on command and she is civilized enough to be toilet trained... No litter box will keep her chained down!

This is Majorie, Whitney Henecroth's puppy. This picture was taken on the first day she was adopted. It was the calmest she has been since that day.

Here is Henry, Anne Miller's puppy! He loves the snow just as much as she does.
