Operating seven days a week, over winter and summer seasons with multiple departments of full time and part time employees on the hill and in the office, can make resort communication quiet challenging. In an effort to improve communication I will be sending all employees an email with 5-10 bullet points of information that every employee should know. This email will be sent, approximately, at weekly intervals. Please take a couple of minutes each week to read this important email.

Summer Season – We will be open for summer operations 7 days per week through Monday, Labor Day, September 4. After that we will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday thru September 24.

Powder Daze – We will have staff, selling passes and multi-day packs, at Christy Sports Powder Daze sale in Denver this Friday thru Monday.

Your Health Insurance Open Enrollment – Open enrollment for health insurance is September 15 – 25. There will be a Q & A on September 19. Pay attention to emails from Human Resources in the coming weeks. Contact HR with questions.

Project Updates

-Lenawee Express clean-up is complete

-Contractors have begun repairing the roof leaks above the women’s room at BML

Upcoming Projects

– In September staff and contractors will begin working on the following projects

-The water line between First Aid and the Shop thru the Early Riser Lot will be replaced

-The water treatment plant below the 6th Alley Bar will receive a major upgrade

-An odor mitigation system we will be installed next to the A-Frame rest rooms below the 6th Alley deck

Mountain Cleanup Day – We had a very successful Mountain Cleanup Day August 12 with nearly 50 volunteers helping us picking up trash in Montezuma Bowl.

Budgeted opening day for ski season is Friday, October 20.
