Here's why their managers think they are A-Mazing!

Base Area/ Building Mtce/Security	Ben Hickman	Ben is a dynamic and knowledgeable member of the team!  He is a very skilled Building Maint staff member who is always willing to help solve whatever challenges arise around the ski area.  It seems there is nothing he can’t fix!  If you need help shoveling snow, he is there.  Burned out light bulbs in a hard to reach location, no problem.  He does it all with a great sense of humor and skill.  We are lucky to have him.  Thank you Ben!
Base Area/ Building Mtce/Security	Aaron Lickteig	Some of you might say “Who the heck is Aaron Lickteig” and that’s fair considering most of you probably haven’t seen his face much around the ski area, but that’s because his shifts start anywhere between 2am and 4am, and many times he’s done before most of you arrive to work. Aaron is the guy that drives up here in the wee hours of the morning, blazing the first set of tire tracks up Loveland pass before even the CDOT plows have set out for their work day. Some people forget that this a job and think snow fairies wave their magic wands, but its Aaron and the small crew of plow drivers who work with him to make sure there’s somewhere for the rest of us and our guest to park. For those who have been around a while, Aaron might be more familiar to you. Once upon a time he was the Base Area Manager and is responsible for me (Brooks Johnson) being here today. After he trained me my first season, I actually had no intentions of coming back until he twisted my arm and roped me back in, and here I am roping him back into Base Area 9 years later. Great to have you back Aaron and thanks for bringing me back. What an A-mazing experience it’s been working with you over the years. Aaron’s also great at softball if anyone wants to get the team back together.
Base Area/ Building Mtce/Security	Tim Rojas	It has been a few seasons since the Base Area department has been fully staffed, as the assistant manager position is a tuff role to fill. We have been very fortunate to find Tim Rojas, thank you Shayna for referring him to us, and to get him started just in time for opening day. With a couple months now under his belt, and a heck of a storm cycle during the holidays, Tim has proven to us that he is the guy for the job. Coming here with experience from MT. Baldy, near his home town of Los Angeles, he brings with him a great attitude, excellent work ethic, and ability to bring positivity to a crew that needs a team player like him. Thanks for joining us Tim; you are A-mazing and the perfect addition to this team.
Lift Ops	Nicholas (Gage) Ridings	Gage is a first year lift operator and has hit the ground running.  Jumping into maintaining ramps, mazes, and good overall guest service.
Lift Ops	Cora Carrara	Cora is a first year lift operator here at the Basin.  She has previous experience from other ski areas and has been a great addition to our team.  She comes in everyday with a smile on her face, a great attitude, and willingness to do any task asked of her.
Lift Ops	Andrew Stampfly	This is Andrew’s third season here at The Legend.  This season Andrew has been one of our go to Operator 2’s to help with our new hires.  He is knowledgeable, has a passion for lift operations, and a great attitude
Lift Ops	Anthony Rios	This is Anthony’s second season in lift operations.  As soon as he finishes a tasks he is always looking for more to do.  Really helping the team out.
Lift Ops	Steven Barbosa	This is Stephen’s fourth season in lift operations.  He has taken initiative with snow work, has gone out if his way to help out other departments, a great team player.
Lift Ops	Will Salvatore	Is a first year Lift Operator.  He has picked up the job quickly and proven to be reliable at all stations.
Rentals	Frank Toback	Frank has been with A-Basin for multiple seasons and has always brings the most joy and positivity to the rental shop.
Rentals	Blake Olson	Blake is a long time A-Basin legend on the hill, and at work. Always rad and always glad.
Retail Shop	Chelsea Pearcy	Back from Maternity leave.  Chelsea has been selling, organizing, and making the shop a better place to be.  Lucky to have her!!
Retail Shop	Patsy Patnode	1st year with Arapahoe Sports.  Attention to detail and a merchandising wizard.  Great with sales and anything related to retail.

SnowSports	Bryan Dalton	Bryan was a great addition this season. He hit the ground running, and always goes out of his way to make sure the guest is comfortable, having fun, and learning. He consistently steps up to help out with “other jobs as needed” and brings positive energy every day.
SnowSports	Scottie Huger	Scottie’s friendliness makes guests of every age feel at ease as they learn to slide on snow. He has been a huge help with multi-discipline lessons, and takes initiative whenever he sees an opportunity to help. Scottie’s always having a great time out there.
SnowSports	Tyson Ball	Tyson has stepped up this year to help us run our Silverthorne Elementary program, our Lil’ Kids Club Program, and has started to help with certification training as well. Big thanks to Tyson!
SnowSports	Mable Henry	Mable’s calm, welcoming demeanor creates a fantastic time on snow for kids of all ages. She does a great job of emphasizing the fun of snowboarding while helping  kids learn.
SnowSports	Isis Lopez	Isis’ ability and willingness to help other departments as needed has been a big help for the Basin. Whether she’s teaching snowboarding, or skiing; helping work moonlight dinners or running a magic carpet, Isis does a great job.
SnowSports	Drea Castillo	Big thanks to Drea (and the rest of the Lift Ops team) for having such great communication, coming up with creative solutions, helping to cross train our staff, and being so great to work with.
Legends FOH	Amber Dalton	Amber has been doing A-Mazing in Coffee Corner! Her attention to detail, willingness to help out, and great sense of humor are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Amber!
Legends BOH	Cameron Frazier	Cameron starts mornings at Arapahoe Basin on the right note, serving breakfast with a smile and ensuring every meal is prepared to perfection. His positive attitude and dedication to his work make him a guest and team favorite!
6th Alley FOH	Marley Hogan	Joined the 6th Alley team this season coming from Alabama. She brings her brand of southern hospitality and charm to A-Basin along with an infectious smile and positive attitude. When Marley isn’t at the 6th Alley, you can find her on the mountain snowboarding with duct-taped boots. J Marley has been a great addition to the 6th Alley team and is helping with our goals of continuous improvement and building a team that others want to be a part of. Great job, Marley!
6th Alley BOH	Felix Hernendez	Felix brings incredible talent and dedication to the 6th Alley kitchen at the Basin. As an H-2B employee, his hard work and skills enhance the dining experience for everyone. Great job Felix!!
BML FOH	John Warren	After 31 years at the Basin, how can John Warren not be A-mazing?  John was our only bartender early season and rocked it!
BML BOH	Alex Medina	Alex is always calm, hard-working and happy to be at work.  Alex is willing to take on any task and is our muscle with our leaners and tables at the end of the day!
Il Rifugio/Steilhang	Anthony Witten	Anthony is our go getter, do anything guy.  Anthony helps where ever he can and is always happy to do so. He rocks!
Ski Patrol	Jeff Grabham	For transitioning into the winter season willing to take on every Supervisory task possible.  KOS left mid Nov, and Lindsay just joined us Dec 3.  It’s been a tough road for him, but he is handling it exceptionally well.
Ski Patrol	Paul Schmidt	For being one of our longest tenured patrollers, supporting our system and helping to spend time with our younger patrollers.
Ski Patrol	Hannah Bussy	For being a bad-ass ski patroller willing to take on any task to help A-Basin
Ski Patrol	Lucy McMath	For being thrown into the Trails fire storm just as we took on more snow and terrain.  She started the same week that we pushed harder than ever this season.
Ski Patrol	Jasmine Wieger	For holding down the Trails fire storm prior to Lucy’s arrival!!
Safety	Entire Base Area Team	So far this season the Base Area crew has been instrumental in championing safety in our parking lots and plazas. They are not only our eyes and ears to identify certain hazards that need to be mitigated but they are also often the individuals who jump in and fix these issues without being asked. Whether its tons and tons of ice and snow on the ground, snow build up on roofs, shoveling the entrances to our non-guest facing work areas, towing stuck vehicles, etc., this crew has been on it and haven’t skipped a beat! They have continued to keep our areas safe through huge changes to their department this season with the new paid parking program and the new effort to manage the employee shuttle lot. Thank you to the Base Area crew for taking safety seriously and for keeping it front of mind even with all of the changes to your department this season!
Sustainability	Ally Flynn	Allie, a second-year member of the green team, has been an essential player in our sustainability initiatives’ success this year. She is an avid carpooler and advocate for treadshare, won the December carpool competition, and is constantly spearheading new sustainability initiatives in Guest Services. For example, terracycling hard cards was her idea! We are extremely grateful for her hard work and want to highlight all that she does for both our department and A-Basin.
Sustainability	Saul Rodriguez	He not only helps with all the compost, gloves, and trash he is very passionate about helping improve waist practices wherever he can.
Grooming/VM/Snowmaking/LM	Mackenzie Stein	This is Mack's first year as a snowmaker, and we appreciate all her hard work and dedication.  She took on the role as one that works the night shift.  These are long, shifts and she always has the most upbeat attitude at the start and the end of each shift.  She is one that can take on any task without question and get it done! Always keeping safety as the top priority and also giving our guests and employees a great skiing/riding surface.  She is very thankful for being a snowmaker and you can tell she loves the "ride". Thanks Mack!
Grooming/VM/Snowmaking/LM	Brandon Frans	Brandon has been crushing it all season, since we opened in October.  He was a crucial help to snowmaking during the early season in addition to all his grooming duties.  Now he is leading the charge on projects and helping our new people learn the ropes.
Grooming/VM/Snowmaking/LM	Owen Wood	Owen joined the Lift Maintenance team at A-Basin in May and has already made a great impression with his dedication and enthusiasm. His hard work helps keep the lifts running smoothly, contributing to unforgettable experiences on the mountain. Nice job Owen!
HR/Marketing/Accounting/IT	C.Jay Kummer	C.Jay has stepped up big time on all things payroll. From brainstorming for employee parking requirements to changes in our accounting processes from Alterra acquisition and helping with the 401k transition, C.Jay’s willingness to work hard and stay positive helps the admin team stay focused and on track. Thank you C.Jay for your hard-work, determination and flexibility
